Catalogue Note

The patterned beads known in Tibet as dzi are prized throughout the Himalaya, and the number of eyes on a bead carries meaning; three is associated with good fortune. This bead is long and even, with three ringed eyes separated by white bands.

It can be strung alone on a cord or used as the centre of a necklace. We describe it by its appearance only.
