Catalogue Note
The cap is the distinguishing feature: close to the skull, divided into a band of zigzag pattern and a plain crown, with the hair escaping in curls below it. The face is young and untroubled, the eyes wide open, the lips slightly parted.
The finish is a cooler grey than most of the heads here, with a faint blue cast in the recesses.
