Catalogue Note
The mark between the brows — the ūrṇā, a sign of a being marked out for enlightenment — and the ornamented headband identify the type. The face is narrower and more severe than the other bodhisattvas here, the moustache clipped, the eyes nearly closed.
One of the smaller heads, and a good choice for a bookshelf or a desk where a larger piece would crowd the space.
